ACTIVITIES
In addition to her
position as Vice President of IRWD, Mary Aileen has
served the community for more than twenty years in
various capacities, including service on the Orange
County Charter Revision Commission, and service on the
Board of the Irvine Unit of the American Cancer
Society. For the past several years, she has
served as chairman or vice chairman of the Daffodil Days
Program, which has grossed over $400,000 a year, for the
Orange County cancer region. Mary Aileen is a
member of the Exchange Club of Irvine and a former
member of the original Measure M oversight committee.
As a member of the Orange
County Bar Association, she participates in the Estate
Planning Section and is a past chairman of the Real
Estate Section of the Orange County Bar. In
addition to her legal practice, she is an Arbitrator for
the Orange County Superior Court and a member and
Chairman of Board 2 of the Orange County Assessment
Appeals Panel.
She is a founding Board member
of the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary, Inc. and
President of Shadetree Partnership, a non-profit
association established to plant trees as a water
conservation program throughout the county.
As an original member of the
Restoration Advisory Board, she has monitored the
environmental clean-up of the El Toro Marine Base.
Mary Aileen Matheis has worked
consistently to maintain the high quality of concern for
the public and public service the people of Orange
county deserve and she earnestly asks for your vote
on November 7, 2000 for Director of the Irvine Ranch
Water District.
